‘I believe in one-man, one-woman love’ – Kidi

Afrobeat star KiDi has reaffirmed his commitment to monogamy, saying he firmly believes in being devoted to one partner.

In an interview on Asempa FM, the Lomo Lomo hitmaker said his views on love and relationships are shaped by the enduring bond between his parents.

“I grew up watching my mum and dad build something beautiful together. They’ve been together for years, and that has shaped how I see love and family,” he shared.

KiDi, who identifies as a Christian, clarified that while his stance is rooted in his faith, he respects differing beliefs.

“Muslims are allowed to marry more than one; Christians are not, so I can’t say what’s right or wrong for anyone else. What works for one person might not work for another. For me, as a Christian, I believe one man, one woman is right,” he explained.

The 2022 Telecel Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year added that his upbringing taught him the importance of loyalty, commitment, and partnership — values he intends to uphold in his own relationships.
