A tragic incident occurred at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) as a cleaner lost his life while attempting to escape from a situation involving a female student. The incident took place in Hostel B on campus.
Reports indicate that the cleaner attempted to jump from the 7th floor to the 6th floor of the hostel. This desperate act was allegedly triggered by the screams of a female student who was heard calling for help.
Eyewitnesses stated that the cleaner had assisted the student in carrying her belongings to her room. However, it is alleged that he then attempted to assault her.
The screams of the student alerted people nearby, who swiftly intervened, preventing further harm. The presence of these individuals is believed to have deterred the cleaner from continuing his actions.
Unfortunately, during the attempt to escape, the cleaner fell and tragically lost his life. This incident has left the university community in shock and mourning.
