The Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has described a document in circulation with his image under the caption “Agyapadeɛ” as a total fiction cooked up by persons trying to establish and fan a hate campaign against the Ofori Panin household and Okyeman.
The book, whose contents reveal an in-depth plan for positioning and sustaining Akyem people at commanding heights in all aspects of the Ghanaian economy, has resurfaced, earning notice in some of the country’s media outlets.
During the Akyem Abuakwa State Council meeting over the weekend, the Okyenhene urged his kinsmen and Ghanaians to treat the book with contempt.
He asked, What rational person in his right mind hatches such an intention and puts his picture on the cover page?
“We observed this throughout J. B. Danquah’s tenure and we continue to observe it today. The “Akyem Project,” as it was known, was in circulation in October 2016, a few months before the election.”
The main goal of it was to incite animosity between Okyeman and Asanteman in order to hinder President Akufo-Addo’s electoral ambitions. Sadly, it arrived too late for the election. 2019 saw a revision to this demonic scheme.
“The book unexpectedly transformed into ‘Agyapadeɛ’ in 2020 when the Agyapa business became a political issue,” the Okyenhene said at the State Council meeting in Kyebi, Eastern Region.
Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin made a suggestion that the Ofori Panin Fie was more well-known even before President Akufo-Addo and that they haven’t done anything particularly important in the previous 25 years to indicate that they are trying to rise above the rest.
He claimed that the Eastern Region was better represented in previous President John Agyekum
Kufuor’s cabinet than in President Akufo-Addo’s, and he stated the current uproar is intended to incite hatred toward the Akyem people.
“Over the years, several Kingdoms have experienced increased growth, but whenever the government chooses to bring progress to Okyeman, some people consistently object.”
“Recently, I’ve heard stuff. The craziest part of it is that I am Ghana’s richest chief. To be more precise, how? In any case, you have to accept it when someone thinks you’re wealthy. I accept it,” the Okyenhene smiled.
He emphasized that they are plots to instill hatred for the Akyem people. Okyeman, according to Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has been magnificent from the beginning and will continue to be great in accordance with God’s desire.
He claimed that despite the fact that a number of well-known Akyem natives have dedicated a significant portion of their professional lives to serving in Ghana’s public sector, not much could be said about their impact on the growth of Okyeman.
He encouraged his kinsmen to rise up and protect Okyeman’s name at all costs against hate speech and lies intended to create division. Some people go to work on purpose with the intention of degrading Okyeman and giving the impression that we are evil.
“However, these folks need to keep in mind that they too have families. If such obvious lies are spread about them and their generation, would they feel at ease?” Osagyefuo enquired.
