Ace-Liam has created a big impact in the art world with his record-breaking feat at just one year and 152 days old. He beat the previous record, which was held by Dante Lamb since 2003, who was three years old at the time of his accomplishment.
Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, the youngest male painter, has formally been awarded the Guinness World Record certificate. Ace Liam became the youngest male artist to hold the Guinness World Record, cementing his place in history.
An audacious attempt made in Accra between January 18 and January 20, 2024, marked the start of his path into the record books.
He sold an amazing nine of the ten items that were on show. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, the First Lady, was drawn to his work and ordered a piece during the exhibition.
Ace-Liam’s mother, Chantelle Kuukua Eghan, an eight-year veteran artist, told the BBC that she is incredibly proud of her son’s artistic abilities and hopes he will have a big impact on the art world.
“Ace-Liam has a natural sense of what colors go together,” said Ms. Eghan, who initially recognized her son’s artistic bent when he was just six months old.
Guinness global Records required that Ace-Liam had to sell his artwork and take part in a public, professional art exhibition in order to be eligible for this global record.
His artwork also needed to be separately developed, according to professional standards, and supported by documentation.
This young artist is gearing up for an upcoming auction and has already sold fifteen paintings as he approaches his second birthday in July.
