Ghana’s Gaming Commission and the National Lottery Authority (NLA) have partnered with Syndicated Entertainment Solutions to launch the inaugural Ghana Gaming and Lottery Awards.
This event is intended to recognize and celebrate achievement in Ghana’s gaming and lottery sectors.
The awards will recognize achievements in a variety of categories, fostering transparency, innovation, and responsible gaming practices within the industry.
This approach is consistent with both organizations’ goals of improving the regulatory environment and encouraging growth in the sector.
The NLA, directed by Samuel Awuku, is making great progress, including its recent appointment as an Observer Member of the European Lotteries Association. This membership is part of their international effort to combat illegal gambling practices (Commission).
Furthermore, the Gaming Commission is vigorously enforcing regulations and developing policies to ensure the industry’s responsible expansion. The Commission’s emphasis on quality leadership and control has positively impacted Ghana’s sector development.
The goal, according to Syndicate Entertainment Solutions’ Director Manuella Frempomaa Ansong, is to support and encourage all parties involved in the gaming and lottery sectors to adhere to relevant laws and best practices from across the world.
She stated that they are adamant that the creation of an annual gaming and lottery awards is a critical step in reaching their goal and advantageous to the gaming and lottery sectors.
She stated, “We plan to host the inaugural gaming and lottery awards ceremony in September of this year.”
Encouragement of operators to give community development and responsible gaming practices priority is crucial, as stated by Peter Mireku, Commissioner of the Gaming Commission.
He mentioned Through the years, they have supported the communities in which they operate and have been in operation. We should be praising them and telling them that they are doing a fantastic job, or that they have done a tremendous job, as it is past due.
