Internationally acclaimed rapper Ja Rule commenced the groundbreaking ceremony for a new classroom building at Nuaso Anglican Primary School in the Eastern Region. The event, which took place on April 10, 2024, marked the initiation of a collaborative effort between Ja Rule and Pencils of Promise, a prominent US-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing global education.

During the ceremony, Ja Rule expressed gratitude to Ghana for the opportunity to contribute to the educational landscape of the community. He underscored the pivotal role of education in fostering societal progress and emphasized the enduring benefits that this project would yield for generations to come.

“I know that this is going to be an opportunity that will last for many, many years to come,” Ja Rule remarked, addressing attendees at the event, including students from Nuaso Anglican Primary School.

Reflecting on the importance of education as a cornerstone of community development, Ja Rule conveyed his appreciation to the Ghanaian people for welcoming him warmly. He extended gratitude for being embraced as a brother by the nation.

Accompanying Ja Rule on his visit to Ghana was his wife, Aisha Atkins. Their itinerary commenced with a visit to the iconic Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Accra, a tribute to Ghana’s founding father and first President, Kwame Nkrumah.

The initiative spearheaded by Ja Rule and Pencils of Promise represents a pivotal step towards improving access to quality education in Ghana, promising transformative impacts on the lives of students and the broader community.
