Veteran music producer Joseph Appiah, also known as Quick Action, has predicted that dancehall artist Stonebwoy will win the Artiste of the Year award at the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) on Saturday, June 1.

In a Facebook post, Quick Action, who has collaborated with numerous well-known musicians, expressed his pride in Stonebwoy’s progress, recalling his early days as Stonebwoy’s first music producer.

He wrote, “Stonebwoy for TGMA Artist of the Year. I have witnessed this journey, watching from afar, and I am proud of his musical growth. As Stonebwoy’s first music producer, I can attest to his hard work, international recognition, collaboration with Angélique Kidjo, and his annual musical concerts. These achievements are significant.

“No disrespect to his competitors, but I believe Stonebwoy deserves the ARTIST of the Year award. Thank you, Joseph Appiah aka Quick Action.”

As the most anticipated event on Ghana’s entertainment calendar approaches, many industry insiders are naming their top picks for Artiste of the Year. In addition to Quick Action, veteran music producer and sound engineer Fred Kyei Mensah has endorsed King Promise for the title.

The Artiste of the Year nominees are Stonebwoy, King Promise, Nacee, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, and Kuami Eugene.
