Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah, CEO of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), was chosen ‘Ultimate Woman of the Year’ at the 4th edition of the National Business Honours 2024, which took place in Accra over the weekend.
She was recognized for championing business sustainability within the Government of Ghana (GoG) agency, which assisted numerous SME’s and skilled groups by providing and making loan products available to boost and improve small businesses.
The event, themed “Driving Growth and Innovation; Empowering Businesses for a Resilient Future in a Recovering Economy,” was attended by industry executives and trailblazers from a variety of institutions involved in moving the economy ahead.
Important partners, stakeholders, and major companies gathered at the event to celebrate and discuss important issues impacting the business world. It also provided a platform for businesses to showcase their organizations and their goods and services.
The recognition bestowed to Hajia Zakariah further highlights her commitment to promoting environmentally friendly business practices and her outstanding role model in empowering women in the finance industry.
It also honored her groundbreaking work as a female leader who, in the historically male-dominated financial industry, broke down boundaries and established new standards, serving as an inspiration to many women in Ghana and abroad.
Her support of women’s economic development and her dedication to gender equality have had a big influence, enabling many female entrepreneurs to realize their goals and preserving the environment for coming generations.
The National business Honours 2024 emphasized the critical role that innovative executives would have in determining the direction of company and propelling the country’s economic recovery.
The honoring of Hajia Abibata confirms that gender equality and sustainable growth were essential to the advancement of the country and should serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for everyone.
