President-Elect John Mahama Names Transition Team Members

President-Elect John Dramani Mahama has appointed a 10-member transition team to ensure a smooth transfer of power to the incoming administration.

The team, composed of individuals from various sectors, including finance, governance, and public administration, will work closely with representatives of the outgoing government.

The transition team is led by Julius Debrah as Co-Chairperson, and includes Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Dr. Callistus Mahama, who will also serve as Secretary to the Transition Team, Dr. Valerie Sawyer, Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Mahama Ayariga, Goosie Tanoh, and Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.

In addition to the transition team, President-Elect Mahama has also nominated Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the transitional Advisory Council.
The transition team’s primary responsibility is to ensure a seamless transfer of power on January 7, 2025.

This development comes after President-Elect Mahama’s victory in the December 7, 2024, presidential election, where he secured 56.55 per cent of the vote.
