Ghanaian singer King Paluta has responded to rumors that he is supporting Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in his political career.

King Paluta clarified that been captured in the same bus as Bawumia was just a coincidental event and wasn’t driven by politics. He clarified that he accepted the Vice President’s invitation out of respect for Bawumia’s standing in the nation.

“Should I have ignored Bawumia’s call? He’s a big man in the country and an elder, regardless of his political affiliation.” King Paluta asked.

King Paluta defended himself by saying that he went to the event as part of his own commitments in response to claims that he was paid a significant sum of money to appear.

He made it clear that whatever payment he got was appropriate because it covered things like gas and other incidentals related to traveling to the event.

He emphasized that, given his position as an artist, his brand and services are not handed away for free.

“My brand and services are not provided for free, given my role as an entertainer”.

In addition, he pleaded with Ghanaians not to associate him with any political party because of his attendance at the rally. In the future, he told his followers not to be shocked if they see him at events for other political parties.

He advised his followers not to be alarmed if they saw him at any political event hosted by a different party.

Ghanaian actor Don Little has caution musician King Paluta about his involvement in Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, stating that it’s ill-advised. He advises Paluta to remain neutral in political matters and not to fear politicians, stating that affiliating with political

figures could lead to premature association with a specific party.
